A Mini Site And Graphics Online Business Blueprint for Beginners

Warning: Beginner Internet Marketer Goes Broke Through Poor Converting Mini Site!

I hope that the warning above does not apply to you, and if for any reason it does, fear not because help and advice is a lot closer than you can imagine.

My name is Dave Barlow and like you, I started with my online business 9 years ago with no knowledge at all about planning an internet marketing business let alone being able to put up my own mini site on the world wide web and then try and sell my product/service.

Now after 9years of hard work, infinite hours (okay, maybe not that many) and several thousand dollars spent on resources, all to perfect my skills as a mini website creator, I can confidently say that you will be helped  and advised by one of the best.

Why, you might ask, am I doing this. The answer is simple, I want you to be one of the online entrepreneurs that succeeds with your internet marketing business without having to fall prey to all the mistakes I made while I was first starting out.

Let’s back track first and focus on this for a minute: Getting your business online and ready to make sales is a significant part of establishing your internet marketing business”. However, a few more key points are required to perfect your overall  mini web site strategy.

Key Tip: Your Mini Site Can Have a  Sales Snowball Effect, as long as it looks graphically pleasing, has a good sales letter and above all, a marketing blueprint for success(yes, a great marketing plan).

I focus selling a lot of my products and services off mini sites because of the following 5 key reasons:

==>  A mini site mostly focuses entirely on your product or service.

==>  A mini site may not be much longer than one or two web pages, and the entire focus of the site is on one product or service. A mini site is basically nothing more than a sales letter for the product.

==>  Mini sites are generally designed using standard HTML and very plain, as you want the focus to be on your text.

==>  mini sites almost never include any links to other web sites, as outside links will lead the visitors away from the site.

==>  mini sites are more tightly targeted to people who are ready to make a purchase, and the site just essentially tells them why they should purchase this particular product or service over others.

It’s a marketing fact that you’ve only got 8 – 15 seconds to make a great first impression and whether your visitors will read what you have to offer and ultimately go on to buy. Designing a mini site with punchy graphics, convincing sales letter and clear call to action will get you sales much quicker in the end.

Compare your mini site to that of a brick and mortar business. Let’s say you walk into health store that has filthy dirty floors and products on shelves that are half open and spilling onto the floors, basically the whole store is a huge mess. I bet you wouldn’t be able to get out of there fast enough, without buying a product, even if that product was the best of it’s kind.

That’s right, your mini site must be slick looking, expert finished and serve one purpose and one purpose only – to make you continual sales.

Many elements contribute to a great looking mini site such as the colors, size of the font, graphics, navigation, how easy it is to order your and the sales letter.

To summarize, your online mini site should incorporate all of the following:

  • Your own keyword driven domain name. NameCheap.com or GoDaddy.com is a good place to start
  • Reliable web hosting. One of the best is HostGator.com
  • Compelling sales letter
  • Auto Responder software to capture the name and email your visitors. I use Aweber.com or GetReponse.com
  • Address your prospects directly
  • Present a product/service with high quality and high perceived value to your customer
  • Optimized for the Search Engines to find easily.
  • Dynamic, fresh appearance
  • Links and scripts must all work when clicked on
  • Easy to understand and navigate around
  • Site content must load quickly. No-one must wait when they are ready to buy

Your product or service is irrelevant until you spend some time thinking carefully about who your target market is and what your prospects need to do when they get to your site. If the purpose of your site is to capture a name and email, then make sure that your mini site focuses on getting their info. If a sale is what you want, then your site is to get them to purchase your offer and nothing else.

All this is great advice but at the top of you priority list is making sure your mini site achieves its goal by getting your visitors to take action.

If you have any burning questions please contact me or leave a comment with your questions. I will get back to you ASAP(usually within 24hrs).

To Your Online Success.
